    Teeth malocclusion can lead to periodontal disease and be responsible for the loss of the supporting bone, migraine, and breathing dysfunctions.

  • How do aligners straighten teeth?

    Aligners induce teeth movement by controlled gradual force, they shift teeth into their ideal position. This is achieved through wearing a series of aligners to be changed every one to two weeks.

  • Do I need a retainer after my SoClear treatment?

    Teeth might have a tendency to relapse slightly a while after the treatment.
    SoClear provides their clients with SoFix retainer at the end of the treatment. It is recommended to wear it at night or as per your doctor’s instructions.

  • How often should I wear my aligners?

    The more you wear SoClear aligners, the better the results are.
    SoClear advises to wear aligners for at least 22 hours per day. You can remove them when eating, brushing your teeth, smoking, or drinking any fluid other than cold water.

  • Can I get my SoClear aligners from any dentist?

    Your treatment can only be done through a SoClear practitioner partner.

    The reason is that the SoClear team provides an ongoing training program to our practitioner partners through webinars, lectures, trainings, etc. Our partner dentists and orthodontists are properly equipped to deal with any treatment plan and offer the best follow-up to their patients.

    Any qualified practitioner who joins our training program could become a SoClear partner.

  • How often should I visit my SoClear doctor?

    Each case has a different treatment time. Usually, SoClear recommends a visit every 4 weeks to ensure that the treatment is on the correct path.

  • How should I clean my aligners?

    SoClear aligners should be worn at all times except when eating, brushing, smoking, or drinking any fluid other than cold water.

    Aligners should be cleaned every day by using toothpaste and a bristled toothbrush and running them under cold water.

    It is preferable to brush your teeth before wearing your aligners again.

  • What are “Attachments” and “IPR”?

    Attachments and IPR are common dental practices that help your treatment to progress in the right path as planned.

    Attachments are small shapes in composite material bonded to your teeth, used when extra force is needed to move the teeth.

    Teeth stripping or IPR is the technique used to create space between the teeth to allow optimal movement when needed.

    SoClear tries to keep attachments and stripping to a minimum. If they are employed, they secure the desired patient result, achieving patient satisfaction.

  • Will wearing SoClear aligners affect my speech?

    No. SoClear aligners are very thin. They are specifically designed to meet your treatment requirements in the most comfortable way possible.

  • When do I have to call my dentist during my treatment?

    • If you lose or break an aligner, whether new or old – Call your dentist immediately!
    • If aligners do not fit your teeth completely, even after using the chewies.
    • If you feel continuous pain, beyond the normal pressure you feel on your teeth.
